Vintage coral jewelry

Carved Italian coral from the nineteenth century, and the Art Deco pieces that revived it. Buying antique coral reuses material harvested generations ago rather than creating new demand.

Between pieces

Nothing in coral is available this week

Every piece here exists once, so this page empties and fills again as we buy. That is exactly when it is worth telling us what you are after: our buyers are with European estates, auction houses and private sellers every week, and we write to you first when something right comes in. Below you can see pieces of this kind that have already found owners, as a reference for what we look for.

About coral

What defines it

Carved Italian coral from the nineteenth century, and the Art Deco pieces that revived it. Buying antique coral reuses material harvested generations ago rather than creating new demand.

What to look for

Every piece here is checked at our own bench before it goes online: metal karat tested, marks read under magnification, stones and settings examined, and condition described as we find it. Anything we cannot verify is left as not specified rather than guessed, and we will show you any piece live on video before you buy.

What it costs

Expect roughly $800 to $9,000 for pieces set with this stone, with size, origin and the absence of treatment doing most of the work on price.

Indicative only. Every curated vintage, antique and estate piece is one of a kind and priced on its own merits, with free insured US shipping.
