Vintage men's jewelry

Signet rings, heavy curb chains, onyx and gold watches. Antique men's jewelry was built to be worn hard, which is why so much of it is still here.

Nothing in men's jewelry is available this week

Every piece here exists once, so this page empties and fills again as we buy. That is exactly when it is worth telling us what you are after: our buyers are with European estates, auction houses and private sellers every week, and we write to you first when something right comes in. Below you can see pieces of this kind that have already found owners, as a reference for what we look for.

About men's jewelry

What defines it

Signet rings, heavy curb chains, onyx and gold watches. Antique men's jewelry was built to be worn hard, which is why so much of it is still here.

What to look for

Men's pieces were made to be worn hard, so condition is judged on structure rather than polish. On a signet we look at the depth of the engraving face and whether the shank has been thinned or rebuilt; on a chain, the gauge of the links, the karat mark and the strength of the clasp; on cufflinks, the swivel and the backs; on a watch, the case, the crystal, the dial and any service history we can document. Honest wear is expected and described, never polished away to hide it.

What it costs

Pieces here range from roughly $250 for everyday gold to $50,000 and beyond for exceptional fine jewelry.

Indicative only. Every curated vintage, antique and estate piece is one of a kind and priced on its own merits, with free insured US shipping.
