What defines it
Vintage engagement rings, Art Deco, old mine and old European cut diamonds and signed pieces. Every piece above $5,000 ships with a detailed valuation & authenticity report prepared by our gemologist, a GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG), at no charge.
What to look for
At this level the paperwork matters as much as the piece. We check the signature and reference where one exists, the laboratory certificate for the principal stone, the hallmark and metal standard, the state of the original finish and any restoration or replaced components, and we set out what is documented and what is not.
What it costs
Pieces in Fine & Rare generally begin around $2,500, with exceptional signed jewelry, important diamonds and rare period pieces reaching $50,000 and beyond.
