Pieces and condition

Vintage, antique and estate jewelry was previously owned and may show age, wear, repairs or alterations. We describe verified facts, materials, dimensions and condition as accurately as reasonably possible. Natural variation and disclosed signs of age are not manufacturing defects. Atelier pieces are newly made and are identified as such. They are never described as historical originals.

Availability and the sale

Almost every vintage, antique and estate piece is one of a kind and can be sold only once. Adding it to a cart does not guarantee availability. We check availability before checkout and may temporarily hold the piece while checkout is in progress.

A binding sale is formed when payment is accepted and we send the order confirmation. If a unique piece was sold between your order and confirmation, we will tell you promptly and return the amount collected through the original payment method.

Prices, taxes and payment

Prices and checkout amounts are in US dollars. US orders ship DDP, delivered duty paid. Import duties and applicable taxes are included in the checkout amount and nothing is collected at your door.

Payment, tax and order processing take place through Shopify checkout. The payment methods offered there govern. Card details are collected by the payment service and never touch our systems. [IN TE VULLEN: confirmed checkout descriptor and confirmation that invoices identify Boost E-tail B.V.].

Shipping and delivery

Shipping to the United States is free, tracked and insured for the full purchase value. A signature is required on delivery. For an in-stock piece that needs no alteration, estimated delivery is 5 to 10 business days from order confirmation. This includes preparation and shipping from the Netherlands. The estimate is not guaranteed. Customs checks, public holidays and remote destinations can add time.

We send tracking details when the parcel leaves. [IN TE VULLEN: exact point at which risk of loss passes to the customer, verified against the carrier contract and applicable law].

Resizing and Atelier orders

Our own goldsmiths in the Netherlands carry out ring resizing. A goldsmith first examines your ring and explains honestly what can be done. Resizing is a paid service, with an individual quote for your approval before any work begins. What is possible and the cost depend on the piece. Other repairs have their own estimate. Atelier pieces arrive ready for sale and are held in stock. They are not made to order. See the product page for availability. Any separate custom request has its timing confirmed individually.

[IN TE VULLEN: verified cancellation and return rules for custom, altered, engraved or resized pieces and Atelier pieces]. No exclusion is stated here until that rule is confirmed.

Returns and refunds

Tell us within 30 days of delivery if you want to return an eligible piece. It must be returned in the condition in which it was received. Contact us first and we will provide a free prepaid, insured return label for use within the United States.

When you return a piece, you get back the full amount you paid, including the import duties and taxes that were part of the checkout price. We do not hold anything back for duties we have already paid to US customs. Return shipping within the US is free, with a prepaid, insured label from us. Once the piece has arrived and been inspected, we refund your original payment method within 5 business days. [IN TE VULLEN: deadline for handing the return to the carrier and inspection period]. [IN TE VULLEN: verified return exceptions for custom, altered, engraved or resized pieces and Atelier pieces]. Nothing in these terms limits a mandatory consumer right.

Authenticity and service warranty

We guarantee that each piece is authentic as described. Manufacturing and setting faults are covered for one year from delivery, including loose stones and failed solder joints. Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, loss, work by another jeweler and condition disclosed before purchase are not covered.

[IN TE VULLEN: warranty claim process, shipping responsibility and available repair, replacement or refund remedy]. The warranty does not limit mandatory legal rights.

Intellectual property

The text, photographs, design and other material on vintagejewelry.com are protected by intellectual property laws. They may not be copied, republished or used commercially without permission from the relevant rights holder, except where the law allows it.

Liability

We do not exclude or limit liability where the law does not allow it, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct. [IN TE VULLEN: legally reviewed limitation of liability appropriate for US consumer sales].

Law, disputes and contact

Contact Boost E-tail B.V. at info@vintagejewellery.com or +31 20 7300991 if a parcel is delayed, damaged or not as described.

Governing law: [IN TE VULLEN: legally reviewed governing law]. Dispute forum or process: [IN TE VULLEN: legally reviewed court, complaint or dispute-resolution process]. Mandatory consumer protections continue to apply where they cannot lawfully be excluded.
