How it began
Too beautiful to melt
Exceptional old jewelry kept arriving through our family’s gold-buying business. Some pieces were simply too beautifully made to melt down. We preserved them, restored them at our own bench and found them new owners. That became Vintage Jewelry.

We source, authenticate, restore and re-home European vintage, antique, estate and designer jewelry from our locations in the Netherlands. Every piece passes our own goldsmiths and our in-house gemologist. Hallmarked by a recognized Dutch assay office where required by Dutch law.

What a viewing looks like
We take the piece into daylight on a private call, turn it under the loupe on camera, read the hallmark out to you and point out wear, earlier repairs and replaced parts. Viewings run in US morning and afternoon hours, and there is never any obligation to buy.
You are told who you are speaking with when your viewing is confirmed, together with their role and qualification.

Every piece passes our own goldsmiths before it is listed. They tighten settings, retip worn claws, restore clasps and leave the honest patina alone. What cannot be saved is described rather than hidden, and our atelier line is made by the same hands at the same bench.

A specialist takes the piece to daylight and turns it in front of you, live and in your own time zone. No obligation to buy.

A family business, and the people in it
We have been doing this since 1973, from four locations in the Netherlands. Around thirty colleagues buy, examine, restore, photograph and describe the jewelry you see here. When you book a private viewing, you are on a call with one of them — not a call center.

Started by buying gold, kept going because some of it was far too beautiful to melt. Still run by the same family.
Boutiques you can walk into, plus a buying center where jewelry is valued before it ever reaches a counter.
Stones are checked and restoration is done at our own bench, not sent out to a third party.
Weighed, tested and hallmark-read in our own inspection room. Where Dutch law requires it, a recognized assay office stamps the metal standard.
