What defines it
A light dent, a worn spot, a softened engraving. These are genuine vintage, antique and estate pieces that carry a mark of their own life, so they cost less than a flawless equivalent. We name the flaw, photograph it up close and price the piece accordingly. The alternative was the melting pot, and that felt like a waste of good gold and good work.
What to look for
Every piece here is checked at our own bench before it goes online: metal karat tested, marks read under magnification, stones and settings examined, and condition described as we find it. Anything we cannot verify is left as not specified rather than guessed, and we will show you any piece live on video before you buy.
What it costs
Pieces here range from roughly $250 for everyday gold to $50,000 and beyond for exceptional fine jewelry.
