Vintage emerald jewelry
Emerald has been oiled for centuries and nearly every antique emerald has been. We say so plainly, and we tell you how to care for a stone that does not like ultrasonic cleaners.

About emerald
What defines it
Emeralds of this age are almost always included; the trade calls it jardin. Oiling is traditional and accepted, but the depth of treatment matters, so ask.
What to look for
Every piece here is checked at our own bench before it goes online: metal karat tested, marks read under magnification, stones and settings examined, and condition described as we find it. Anything we cannot verify is left as not specified rather than guessed, and we will show you any piece live on video before you buy.
What it costs
Expect roughly $800 to $9,000 for pieces set with this stone, with size, origin and the absence of treatment doing most of the work on price.
Indicative only. Every curated vintage, antique and estate piece is one of a kind and priced on its own merits, with free insured US shipping.
