Vintage jewelry gifts for him
Signet rings, heavy gold chains, onyx, cufflinks and watches. Antique men's jewelry was built to be worn hard, which is exactly why so much of it is still here.

Men's antique jewelry is a smaller market than women's, which works in a buyer's favor. A solid gold Victorian signet ring or a heavy curb chain often costs less than a comparable new piece, and it is made from metal that has already proved it lasts.
Signet rings are the classic gift, and they can be engraved in our own workshop with initials or a crest. Ask us before you order, because engraving is done after the sale and changes the return window on that specific piece.
Onyx and black enamel are the other reliable direction. Both were used constantly through the Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco periods in men's rings and cufflinks, and both wear well against a suit or against a watch strap without competing with either.
Budget is simple here because the market is smaller. Most men's signet rings, chains and everyday gold sit in the $250 to $2,500 range, while watches and signed pieces are the ones most likely to move into the fine and rare tier above $2,500.

Questions people ask before gifting
Can a signet ring be engraved?
Usually yes, by our own goldsmiths. Tell us before you order so we can confirm the face is deep enough, and note that engraving is personalization, so it changes the return options on that piece.
Are vintage watches serviced?
Every watch is checked and, where needed, serviced in our workshop before it is listed, and the condition report says exactly what was done.
How do I know a chain is solid gold?
Every piece is karat tested and hallmarked where required by Dutch law, and we photograph the mark. If a mark is unreadable we say so and give the tested metal standard instead.
What is a reasonable budget for a first gift like this?
A solid gold signet ring or a curb chain in the everyday tier, roughly $250 to $2,500, is a genuine antique gift without moving into fine and rare territory.
