Do you offer a warranty?

We stand behind the description and authenticity of every piece we sell, backed by our in-house gemologist's review at the time of listing. Contact us with any concern after purchase and we will work through it with you directly.

Can antique rings be resized?

Many can, usually by a modest amount up or down. Rings with full eternity settings, engraved shanks, or very thin antique bands are more limited, because resizing them can disturb the stones or weaken the metal. We tell you before you buy if a ring has any such limitation.

Will resizing affect the value of an antique ring?

A competently done resize by an experienced jeweler generally has little effect on value. Poor past resizing work, such as an uneven shank or disturbed stones, is the kind of thing that does affect value, and we disclose it if we see it.

Can a necklace or bracelet be shortened or lengthened?

Often, yes, particularly for chains without a fixed repeating pattern. Rigid bangles and length-specific designs, such as a graduated riviere, are more limited. Ask us about a specific piece before buying if length matters to you.

How do you verify that a piece is genuinely antique or vintage?

Every piece is examined in-house by our own gemologist, who checks the construction, the hallmarks, the stones and the overall consistency with the period the piece is described as belonging to, before it is ever listed for sale.

Can I get a written valuation or authentication report?

Yes. We can prepare a detailed valuation and authenticity report for a piece, prepared by our in-house gemologist, which many customers use for insurance purposes.

Are the gemstones in your jewelry natural or treated?

We disclose what we know about a stone, including any treatment we are aware of, in the listing description. If a treatment is not mentioned and you would like it confirmed, ask us before you buy.

How should I clean antique jewelry at home?

Warm water with a small amount of mild soap and a soft brush is safe for most solid gold and platinum pieces without porous or fragile stones. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and steam on foil-backed stones, enamel, pearls, opals and other soft or organic materials, since heat, moisture and vibration can damage them.

How should I store antique jewelry?

Store pieces separately, ideally each in its own soft pouch or lined compartment, so stones and metal cannot scratch each other. Keep pearls and organic materials such as coral or jet away from direct heat and very dry air, which can cause them to crack over time.

Can you offer a private video viewing before I buy?

Yes. We offer private video viewings so you can see a piece up close, ask questions in real time, and check details like scale and color under natural light before deciding.
