Vintage & Antique Bracelets

A bracelet takes more knocks than any other piece of jewelry, so with antique and vintage bracelets the clasp, the safety catch and the hinge matter as much as the gold. Every bracelet we list has had all three tested and, where needed, repaired at our own bench, and the internal circumference is measured so you know before it arrives whether it will fit.

Looking for something you saw earlier? Browse our archive of recently sold vintage jewelry to see the kind of pieces that pass through our hands.

The range covers Victorian gate bracelets with their padlock clasps, engraved bangles and mourning work, Art Nouveau enamel, Edwardian diamond lines in platinum, Art Deco geometric links and sapphire-set panels, heavy Retro tank-track and brick links in rose and yellow gold, mid-century woven gold, charm bracelets carrying decades of collected charms, and estate tennis bracelets and cuffs in 14K and 18K with modern stones.

Weight is a big part of value here: gold bracelets are substantial, so we weigh each one to the tenth of a gram and record the standard from the hallmark, testing the metal where the mark is worn. Stones are assessed by our gemologist. Every bracelet is a single piece, ships free and fully insured to the US with import duties included, and can be seen live on a private video viewing.

Shop by era

Victorian, Art Nouveau, Edwardian, Art Deco, Retro and mid-century bracelets and bangles, filtered on the era recorded for the piece.

Shop by metal, stone & style

Yellow, white and rose gold, platinum and silver, in link, gate, bangle, cuff, charm and tennis forms, set with diamond, sapphire, ruby, emerald, turquoise and enamel. Weight in grams is listed on every piece.

What makes an antique bracelet special

Links assembled by hand, hinges cut to fit, and clasps with concealed safety catches that were made for that bracelet alone. Retro gold work in particular used a weight of metal that is rarely repeated in new production.

Fit, length and sizing

Link bracelets show their length in inches and millimeters; bangles show their internal circumference and inner width. Links can often be added or removed by our goldsmith. A bangle usually cannot be resized, so measure over the widest part of your hand.

Buying from the Netherlands — duties included

Free insured shipping to the US with import duties already in the price, 30 days to return with free insured return shipping, and a valuation & authenticity report from our gemologist on higher-value pieces.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know a vintage bracelet will fit me?
Measure your wrist with a tape and compare it with the length or internal circumference listed on the product page. For a link bracelet allow about half an inch of ease; for a bangle, measure around your closed hand at its widest, since it has to pass over that.
Are old clasps safe to wear every day?
Only once they have been serviced. Our goldsmith tests every clasp, spring and safety catch and repairs or replaces what is worn before the bracelet is listed, and the condition report says what was done.
Can you add links or remove them from a vintage bracelet?
Often yes, in our own atelier. On some hand-made and hallmarked links, altering the bracelet would damage it or remove its mark, and we will tell you when that is the case.
Can I see the piece before I buy it?
Book a private video viewing. One of our specialists takes the exact piece into daylight on camera, turns it, shows you the hallmark and the back of the setting, and answers your questions live in your own time zone.
Do you ship to the US with duties included?
Yes. Shipping from the Netherlands to any US address is free, fully insured and tracked, and import duties and taxes are already included in the price you see. Nothing extra is collected on delivery.

About this category

Bracelets at Vintage Jewelry

Vintage gold bracelets, bangles and charm bracelets, with every clasp and hinge checked at the bench.

About vintage bracelets

A bracelet takes more knocks than any other piece of jewelry, so the clasp, the safety catch and the hinge matter as much as the metal. We test all three and record what we repaired.

How we authenticate vintage bracelets

Marks usually sit on the clasp or inside a bangle. We read them, weigh the piece and test the metal, and record the internal circumference so you can judge the fit.
