Is this piece authentic, and who checked it?

Yes. Every piece is inspected by our jewelry specialists in the Netherlands and checked by our in-house gemologist, a GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG). What we can verify — metal standard, hallmarks, gemstones and condition — is documented on this page. Where something cannot be verified we say "not specified" rather than guess.

Is this piece newly made?

Atelier is our own line of newly made jewelry in vintage style, made for us by a specialized workshop in Thailand. It is new, not antique.

How is the silver fineness checked?

Each piece is independently tested in the Netherlands by an official assay office, which determines its actual silver fineness before applying the hallmark. Unlike the Netherlands, the United States does not require independent official hallmarking. Manufacturers or importers are responsible for the accuracy of their silver fineness marks.

The condition, any wear and any repairs or restoration are described in the condition report on this page, as recorded by the goldsmith who inspected the piece. The photography shows the piece exactly as it is today, unretouched.

Every order ships free to the United States, fully insured and tracked, with import duties and taxes already paid by us. Your order travels tracked and signed for, and we send the tracking details as soon as it ships.

Yes. Book a private video viewing and a specialist takes this exact piece to daylight and turns it in front of you, live and in your own time zone. There is no obligation to buy. We usually reply within one business day when you write to us.

A detailed valuation & authenticity report prepared by our in-house gemologist, a GIA Graduate Gemologist (GG), is included free on pieces above $5,000 and can be requested for any other piece.
